Critics Corner:

'Michael Riddle “Put yourself out there” Independent Release Eleven (11) Tracks From the cover photo of Michael sitting on a stool strumming his guitar, I was prepared to listen to a typical singer-songwriter CD. After making it through only the first three tracks I decided that there was definitely more here than I had anticipated. Listening to all eleven tracks I was quite surprised to find a wide range of musical styles, all done quite well. From the country-rock opener “The 5”, to the back porch song “Son like you” right through to the Loggins & Messina inspired “VDO” I found this CD to be a lot of fun. It’s the type of CD that doesn’t fall into a rut and force you to hit the Next CD button. Way to go Michael! '

“Michael Riddle’s latest CD is titled Put Yourself Out There and that’s what he does on stage – with incredible guitar technique, accomplished writing skills and the ability to infuse every song with his entire energy.”

'Michael Riddle - Put Yourself Out There Michael Riddle is a singer/songwriter from suburban Twin Cities who pens homespun, feel good lyrics and envelopes them with solid and slightly quirky songwriting. Michael's smooth storyteller's voice is complemented by his wonderful guitar work that ranges in influences from Andy Sommers to Jim Croce and Ry Cooder. Songs like the country tinged Dusty Southern Road, the snappy title track and the haunting ballad, Broken Promises, are real gems.'
